📲 Play offline on your phone

Add Offline Arcade to your home screen once while you're online. After that, all 13 games open like a normal app and work with no internet: in airplane mode, on the Tube, anywhere.

2 Add it to your home screen

  1. Open the link in Safari.
  2. Wait until the This device box on this page says Ready offline. It takes a few seconds.
  3. Tap the Share button . It's at the bottom of the screen on iPhone and the top on iPad.
  4. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen ⊞. If you see an Open as Web App switch, leave it on.
  5. Tap Add. The Arcade icon appears on your home screen.
On recent iOS versions you can also do this from Chrome or Edge via their Share menu. Safari is the most reliable.

3 Test it before you go

  1. Open Arcade from your home screen once while still online.
  2. Turn on Airplane mode.
  3. Close the app fully, open it again from the icon and start a game. If it loads, you're all set ✈️
Every game has a 🎮 Touch button for on-screen controls. Two-player games work on one phone or tablet. Turning it sideways gives the action games more room.

❓ Troubleshooting

It says “no internet” when I'm offline

The arcade only saves itself once it's been opened online. Open it from the home-screen icon while connected, wait for Ready offline on this page, then try airplane mode again.

How do I get updates?

Just open the app while you're online. Any new version downloads quietly in the background and is used the next time you launch it.

My scores disappeared

Scores and high-score tables are saved on each device, separately for each browser. On iPhone, the home-screen app keeps its own scores separate from Safari.

My iPhone forgot the offline games

Safari can clear saved data for websites you haven't used in a while. Adding the arcade to your Home Screen (step 2) keeps it safe.

Does it use data or track me?

No. The games don't connect to the internet at all: no ads, no trackers, no accounts. Sounds are generated on the device, and the quiz questions are built in.
